Description

Your law license requires you to maintain ethics-compliant trust accounting and IOLTA records and procedures, and yet most bookkeepers, let alone most lawyers, have the financial expertise required to do so.  So how can you be sure you’re safe from a bar audit or discipline when it comes to your trust accounting?  An IOLTA Diagnostic with Ascendus, that’s how.

Our Law Firm Trust Account IOLTA Diagnostic is specifically designed to help law firms uncover IOLTA and trust account irregularities and ethics violations before your state bar does, so you can be confident you’ll pass a bar audit with flying colors.  You can rest easy knowing your law license is safe from trust accounting ethics violations.

Our Law Firm Trust Account IOLTA Diagnostic does this by reviewing over 20 aspects of your your IOLTA accounting.  Each of facet of our 20+ point review specifically addresses your firm’s compliance with your ethical and RPC obligations, along with general trust accounting best practices.   We leave no RPC or ethics rule unturned when it comes to evaluating your IOLTA accounts.

We have a limited number of Trust Account IOLTA Diagnostic slots available each month, so book yours today.

How it works.

Once you click the Book Now button, you’ll be taken to a page that will allow you to book an initial call with one of our IOLTA experts.  During that initial call, we’ll work together to identify and define any concerns you have about your law firm’s IOLTA trust accounting, as well as specific areas you’d like to make sure we address during our diagnostic.  We’ll also use our time together on that call to gather the documents and data access required for our analysis.

Once we have that information, we’ll be crunching numbers, doing deep-dive analysis of your firm and its financial systems, and seeking out opportunities to improve your firm’s systems and overall bottom line. Then, once we’ve crunched all the numbers and turned them inside out and upside down, we’ll provide you with a written report showing on our findings and recommendations.  Some of the questions our report will answer for you will include:

  • Are my trust accounts fully ethics-compliant?
  • If not, what do I need to do to bring them into compliance?
  • What are recommend best practices my firm should be implementing to improve our IOLTA trust accounting moving forward?
  • What are the RPCs or ethics rules we haven’t been complying with, and how can we comply with those RPC and ethics obligations moving forward?

Our goal with the diagnostic is to empower law firm owners to bring their trust accounting into full ethics compliance so they can sleep easy at night knowing their law license is protected from avoidable IOLTA trust accounting irregularities and ethics violations.

Firms that complete our IOLTA Trust Account Diagnostic process will have this information and more at their fingertips.  And, while there is no obligation to continue any services with Ascendus at the end of the diagnostic – we definitely encourage you to take the information you’ll learn from the diagnostic and run with it – we’re also happy to discuss options for the many ways in which Ascendus can support your firm as it moves forward to achieve and maintain guaranteed ethics-compliant trust accounting.
